FRESH PERIOD RULE:

The fresh 15-day period provided for in Neypes applies to appeals in criminal cases, notwithstanding the wordings of Section 6, Rule 122. (Yu v. Samson-Tatad, G.R. 170979, 9 February 2011, justice brion).
